Water

We are committed to working for water sustainability in our operations, basins and communities.

Our work around this resource focuses on three priorities:

  • We have a dual approach: responsible water use and environmental protection. We are committed to reducing our water use ratio per beverage produced and treating 100% of the water we discharge, in accordance with local requirements and those established by The Coca-Cola Company, to ensure that water is of sufficient quality to sustain aquatic life.

    OUR 2026 GOAL:

1.26 liters of water per liter produced.

  • Conservation of ecosystems within the basins in which we operate remains one of the most important elements to improve water resilience.

We implement nature-based solutions projects that, in addition to enhancing water infiltration, also mitigate climate-related risks such as biodiversity loss and natural disasters.

We have a positive impact on more than 48,000 hectares in Latin America through our conservation, protection and reforestation efforts, which in 2024, allowed us to replenish more than 100% of the water we use to produce our beverages.

Our goal is to replenish to nature and communities 100% of water used in finished products on an aggregate level and replenish 100% of total water used in each water-stressed location.

We collaborate with the community to rescue, repopulate and restore mangroves.

  • We promote access to water, generating partnerships to find innovative solutions to improve the availability of this resource and support long-term health and prosperity for the communities in which we operate.

We contributed to establishing the Uruguayan Alliance for Water, which seeks to promote public-private partnerships for nature-based projects in favor of the water security of the region.

CEO WATER MANDATE AND ALLIANCE FOR WATER STEWARDSHIP (AWS)

In 2024, we reinforced our commitment to efficient water resource care and use by joining CEO Water Mandate and its Water Resilience Coalition initiative. This initiative collaborates with the United Nations and other entities to address global water challenges. Through it, we will collaborate to improve water resilience in our operations and supply chains, and join the effort to achieve collective positive impact in at least 100 vulnerable basins by 2030.

Additionally, in our certified plants and those in the process of being certified under the standard, we maintain sustainable water management practices based on the five outcomes of the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS).

  • GOOD WATER GOVERNANCE

  • SUSTAINABLE WATER BALANCE

  • GOOD WATER QUALITY STATUS

  • IMPORTANT WATER-RELATED AREAS

  • SAFE WATER, SANITATION AND HYGIENE FOR ALL (WASH)
